Christmas and such

I had a great christmas. A busy christmas, but a great one. Amanda and I went to St. Louis on friday and were there until sunday. We went to my friend David's surprize party (pics on flickr) and were there until about 1:30. Ryan won the little poker tournament, so he got 47 dollars. Then in the morning we opend some gifts. Ryan gave me Donkey Konga, where we preceeded to "battle" each other for about an hour or so. After which we left and headed home.

Once we got there we just spent the rest of the day cleaning and getting the house ready for tomorrow. I painted a bit, but was unable to finish what I needed before the deadline (Amanda wanted to give some paintings to her mom). The next day Amanda and I exchanged gifts and then her mom came over and they made breakfast. After that people started to show up. We opened gifts again, then played some spades, watched tv (damn tivo kept switching to mythbusters), ate dinner, watched some more tv, and people went home.

Everything there is a little rushed. much more went on, but I don't think its worth going into. It was busy, but a good christmas.

Now I got two more things up at threadless. You can see them here:

PARTY!

The party went well. I had a good time, and I think everyone else did too. Started off a little slow, but when it picked up... Well, we were busy. Unfourtunatly, I had to miss a early chunk of the party so that I could do the favors, but its alright. Plinko was the game where people went to get more tickets, because more often than not you came away with more tickes than when you arrived.

Andrew and Alison decided to rent a moonwalk and a cotton candy machine. Those were big hits. Funny that when they came to get the stuff they actually offered to buy the cut outs that we made. I don't know if they were going to do it, but nice to know that they were wanted. Here is one below:

To see the other work just to go my flickr site (right column). Anway, next year is supposed to be more low key, so we shall see what happens with that one.

Its nice to have actual "free time" again. I actually got a lot done at home last night.

Halloween Party

Been Busy (as always it seems). Amanda and I have been helping Andrew and Alison get everything together for their Halloween party. Almost done. Basically I am painting all the time, which doesn't bother me because I like it, its just that I am looking forward to being done and actually enjoying the party.

I have some pictures up on flickr, but you can't see them until after the party for secrecy sake. That is why the one below is pixelatled.

Hasen't been all work though. This past saturday we went to Halloweekends at Worlds of Fun. That was a good time. A little more busy and not so cold as last year, but still a good time.

Geoff Hates E.T.

Been really busy at work and out side of work. At work, well... I'm working. However, outside of work I am busy with getting things ready for the Halloween party. Maybe after all of this I can relax. Maybe.

Anyway, I did this for fun over lunch. Its because Geoff really hates E.T.

Sorry Alison, but my computer is now getting repaired and it might be awhile before I get it back...

In case you haven't heard, Amanda and I got another dog. Her name is Zelda. She is a german shepard huskie mix. Anyway, she is very sweet and even a little shy. But she and Lucky get along very well. They are constantly playing together.

Below is a picture from saturday night. Everyone but me was sleeping on the bed. No room for me apparetnly.

Make it Quick

Alright. To sum up, I go married and went on my honeymoon. I had a great time at the batchelor party, the wedding, reception, and honeymoon. All of it was great. Unfourtunatly some people couldn't make it, but I understand. You know who you are.

Anyway, the wedding went off without a hitch and everyone seemed to have a great time at the reception. They honeymoon was a lot of fun. We went to Universal Studios, to Walt Disney World (but not to the theme park), to museums around Orlando, Coca beach, etc. Then we hopped on a cruise to the Bahamas where we enjoyed shows and comedians on the boat, and swiming with the dophins along with sight seeing in Nassau.

Now I am glad to be home and settling back into everything.

Pictures of the honeymoon are on my flickr page. Pictures of the wedding are on pictage (search under "Amanda Fisch") and on my friends websites (though some are friends only).

Lot's O stuff

Been busy.

Between getting stuff for the wedding, preparing for the wedding, and everything in between, I have not had much free time. However, I did have a great time and Geoff's movie premire. The pictures for that are up on my flickr page.

I did some pictures for our wedding program, though I think only the red calla lilly will be used:

red calla lilly

Anyway, here is a little of what I have been doing in my "free time":

Ico is a great game, and very hard to describe. You have your princess in a castle, and you have to help her out. Sounds routine, but its not. You spend the entire game on one side of a language barrier. There is no health bar, very few enemies, and the entiretly of the game is figuring out how to get from A to B. I spent 40 minutes last night on a puzzle that if I had known what to do would have taken 2 minutes or less. Its challenging without being frustrating.

Messing Around

During lunch I messed around with an idea that I had. I don't know if I really like it, but I think its "interesting."

Colossus

Into the fire again

Well the wedding is fast approaching... Been busy at home and at work. There is so much I would like to do with my free time but I don't have enough of it. Oh well.

Anyway, he is the latest piece I did for Charley's book. He has a weird sense of humor...

Well, we are all moved into the house and I am very hapy about it. We hosted a dinner at our house last weekend and had a good time. Lots of drinking...

In the House

Well, we are in the house. No small thanks to the people who helped us. They made all the differnce.

Today we were busy unpacking and actually renovating. Today we discovered that the washer and drier could not fit through the door to the room with the hookups, so we actuall tore down a wall. We have pictures of it at the bottom. Most unexpected and kinda fun. Anyway. Its starting to look like we live here. Most everything is unpacked. Just got to do the rest of it...

Getting Ready

Well, as of late all we have been doing is packing. In one weeks time we will be in that house (barring any unforseen complications). I am really looking forward to it, but its such a pain in the ass to move.

Anyway, my dad and brother (Andy) are coming down for the weekend. So it will be nice to see them.

Other than that, nothing new....

Bought a House

Well, as the title says, we bought a house. We just have to get inspections and all that jazz. I have some pics of the house on flickr, but here is the link for the listing on the site.

Whoa!

It's been awhile since I have updated. Where to start.... Almost bought a house, but we were out bid. Been playing softball and doing pretty well. We are 2-1 and having a good time. I did a little short for Geoff's movie. It's kinda like the Rock commercial I did with all still frames. Superman Returns was "ok," which is a pretty good review from me considering how I feel about ol' blue.

Not much is new with me. Just getting ready for the big day (getting address' n' such).

Have a great day.

As of late

I have been very busy as of late. I have gone to St. Louis twice this month, and if I am not out of town, I am busy with something else. Anyway, last weekend Amanda and I went to Dave and Diana's wedding. Easily the best wedding we have been too, and I don't really know why that is. But it was great none the less.

While I was in town, so was Ryan. And we got him on film at Forrest Park acting like an idiot for my company. It was a lot of fun to shoot.

WOO!

Below is an almagumation of my comics for Charley. He likes it a lot, but doesn't know what to do with it.

I finally got paid for those drawings yesterday.

Amanda threw me a surprize party last friday, even though today is my birthday. Good times.

eh....

I really think I lost this one a long time ago. I like only the one panel that I had posted previously. I just couldn't "get it together" for the other panels except for the "evil Geoff" panel. Anyway, I hope YOU like it.

I hit you because I love you

SNAAAAKE!

I LOVE Metal Gear. I LOVE IT! And when I heard that Snake was going to be a featured charachter in the next smash brothers installment (Brawl) I just about freaked out. Anyway, in a card I did recently I combined Solid Snake and Jerry Garcia to create a charachter. I think it worked pretty well.

Into the fire

Below is a comic I did for Charley. He wants me to do another book for him.

Also, I found out that David Quigley isn't going to be able to come to my wedding. I wanted him to be a best man, but his sister recently got engaged and her wedding is the 3rd of september in St. Louis. I am disappointed, but I understand that its his sister, and that is more important than my wedding. Though, I will miss him.

I am sure everyone else will too. Thats all for now.

Should be Over

Well, I turned in my last cartoon to Charley, so I "should" be all done. We will see about that one. Anyway, I wasn't able to go to Beloit to help Geoff with his movie because Amanda hurt her back. All in all a good weekend, though.

Movie time

Had a good weekend. Spent a lot of it in Lawrence with friends. Tiger Woods 2004 is a really fun game. I even got a hole-in-one. But most of my time as of late has been trying to draw everything I need for the commercial I am making with the help of Geoff and Amanda. I have everything pretty much planned out I just have to do it.

If you want to see what I have done so far you should go to my flickr site. Here are some of the pictures:

Winding down?

My mom came it this friday and stayed with us until sunday. It was good, REALLY GOOD. I was surprized at how well everyone got along. I wasn't really worried about it, but things ran extremely smoothly. What I am talking about is saturday night Amanda's dad, step-mom, mother, and my mom all got together with us. We talked into the night and enjoyed a verynice dinner.

As for the reason she came it, it was to find places for the rehersal dinner. It looks like the "Bristol" is the front runner right now.

I got the tshirts done for Geoff and Tim, you can see those on my flickr page. I am pretty much done with Charley's first book. He wants me to look at a second, but we shall see. Anyway, here are some more of those drawings.

Go see V

Amanda and I had our marriage counceling this weekend. ALL THIS WEEKEND. Friday from 5:30 to 8, and staurday 8:30 to 5 we were in counceling. It wasn't really a bad experiance, it was just LONG. Everyone thought so, but we couldn't do anything about it. That was pretty much our weekend. Oh well.

HOWEVER! We did see the movie, "V for Vendetta", which is awesome. GO SEE IT! Unlike most people, I knew what the movie was about. But if I didn't I still would have loved it. Whatever you are doing, so see it. NOW.

Just remember that this was based on a comic book from the 80's. And all that stuff still applies today. The charachters were kinda different, but they both worked for their mediums. What I mean by that is the movie charachters were good in the movie and comic book charachters good in the comic book. They wouldn't have fit very well the other way around.

Remember the 5th of November.

The Weekend

Well, I am pretty much done with that book. The illustrations are below this and previous posts. I might do one more but we shall see.

It was a busy weekend. I tried to do some work on the illustrations, but that was put on hold because there were more important matters to attend too. In case you didn't know, Samantha (Andrew and Alison's cat) died a week ago and we went out to Denton to bury her. Tim made a very nice coffin for her and we all put little notes in her coffin. Andrew did most of the digging, but we all helped out a little bit. I am sure at some point pictures will be up at Andrew or Alison's flickr site.

Afterwards we sat around and drank until dinner was ready. After dinner we got most of our stuff together and went home.

In the morning we met for breakfast and watched some Harry Potter. After that we (guys) treated ourselves to some punishment and played some Schleuderball even though there was a threat of a tornado. We had 3 "new guys" and they played very well.

After all that we went our separate ways and that is when I was able to churn out a couple of illustrations. My favorite is the one below. We joked about this quote because its so bizzare:

dreams

"Charley, you just Cowboyed Up and came out of the barn, showing the world you're not afraid to live your dream."
