Winding down?

My mom came it this friday and stayed with us until sunday. It was good, REALLY GOOD. I was surprized at how well everyone got along. I wasn't really worried about it, but things ran extremely smoothly. What I am talking about is saturday night Amanda's dad, step-mom, mother, and my mom all got together with us. We talked into the night and enjoyed a verynice dinner.

As for the reason she came it, it was to find places for the rehersal dinner. It looks like the "Bristol" is the front runner right now.

I got the tshirts done for Geoff and Tim, you can see those on my flickr page. I am pretty much done with Charley's first book. He wants me to look at a second, but we shall see. Anyway, here are some more of those drawings.

Go see V

Amanda and I had our marriage counceling this weekend. ALL THIS WEEKEND. Friday from 5:30 to 8, and staurday 8:30 to 5 we were in counceling. It wasn't really a bad experiance, it was just LONG. Everyone thought so, but we couldn't do anything about it. That was pretty much our weekend. Oh well.

HOWEVER! We did see the movie, "V for Vendetta", which is awesome. GO SEE IT! Unlike most people, I knew what the movie was about. But if I didn't I still would have loved it. Whatever you are doing, so see it. NOW.

Just remember that this was based on a comic book from the 80's. And all that stuff still applies today. The charachters were kinda different, but they both worked for their mediums. What I mean by that is the movie charachters were good in the movie and comic book charachters good in the comic book. They wouldn't have fit very well the other way around.

Remember the 5th of November.

The Weekend

Well, I am pretty much done with that book. The illustrations are below this and previous posts. I might do one more but we shall see.

It was a busy weekend. I tried to do some work on the illustrations, but that was put on hold because there were more important matters to attend too. In case you didn't know, Samantha (Andrew and Alison's cat) died a week ago and we went out to Denton to bury her. Tim made a very nice coffin for her and we all put little notes in her coffin. Andrew did most of the digging, but we all helped out a little bit. I am sure at some point pictures will be up at Andrew or Alison's flickr site.

Afterwards we sat around and drank until dinner was ready. After dinner we got most of our stuff together and went home.

In the morning we met for breakfast and watched some Harry Potter. After that we (guys) treated ourselves to some punishment and played some Schleuderball even though there was a threat of a tornado. We had 3 "new guys" and they played very well.

After all that we went our separate ways and that is when I was able to churn out a couple of illustrations. My favorite is the one below. We joked about this quote because its so bizzare:

dreams

"Charley, you just Cowboyed Up and came out of the barn, showing the world you're not afraid to live your dream."

good times

While I have been running myself ragged as of late, I have been enjoying myself for the most part. This weekend we got all of our registering done. I can't tell you how happy that makes me feel. I got to see my friend Dave's new house and catch up with a lot of old friends who I haden't seen in a long while.

Still busy at work and it looks like it is going to stay that way. A good thing I guess. I have finished a couple of my drawing for the book. I still have a few more to go.

Things are going well for me, but Andrew and Alison's cat just died, and my brother is still looking for a job. So no matter how much stuff I have to deal with I am still doing quite well. Sometimes it hard to remeber that, but I have to say that 95% of the time I am quite happy.

Here are the "finished" drawings I have done. I say that because they might change after I submit them. Also, they are supposed to be in black and white.
