Max

When I said yesterday that nothing was going on I was wrong. Yesterday my parents had my dog Max put to sleep. As sad as I am I know it was for the best. He was about 18 years old ans showing it. Still hurts though. I guess I just wish I could have seen him one last time.

Shoes

Again, not much going on. Just been a little busy at work and working on some stuff on the side. Nothing to spectacular.

Below is a comic I did so that it can (hopefully) go up on a site called "pressstarttoplay." Its a webcomic; an "ok" web comic. But they said that they would put up a guest comic if people asked. And I asked. Anyway, don't be ashamed if you don't get it, its a videogame reference.

For those of you who don't get it: If you put a fairy in a bottle and you die, the fairy will revive you quite a bit of health.

I always felt bad for those poor faires. They are imprisoned and then upon release they need to revive their captor. Maybe its a classic case of Stockholm Syndrome.

not much

As the title says not much has been going on with me. I have been on a big video game kick as of late. I don't like it, though I do know when it wears thin I won't touch them for awhile. The latest game I have been playing is X-Men Legends, which is awesome to say the least. Also, I am going to Get Devil May Cry 3 tomorrow.

I know, I have a problem. Speaking of which...

torn

I just love this picture. Poor Wolverine. Because he can take the punishment and live, they do this sort of thing to him often. But this is by far the worst.

I sent out some thank you notes, talked to the church about some things, and took care of some bills. The only other thing worth mentioning is that we have been taking care of Samantha; Andrew and Alison's cat.

Serioulsy, nothing is really going on.

Though I did JUST find out that Cheryl (co-worker) who has the office next to me gave her 2 weeks notice.

Super Jerk

THe picture below is a comic I have been thinking about lately. I was never a big Superman fan. In fact I greatly dislike him. Maybe I am the only one. Anyway, with the upcoming movie I have been thinking about him alot.

Super Jerk

Last night Amanda had to work and Tim and Geoff invited us to G3 for dinner which I went to. Tim made an excelent dinner of chicken parmesian and spagehtti. The salad was there for color.

After dinner we went bowling and had a good time depending on who you talk too. I did well, and at times Tim did. Geoff did ok, but he had bouts of "unlucky breaks." He would give me the "evil eye" and I would get a strike or spare. Kristin started to fall asleep near the end, but I think she enjoyed herself.

All in all it was a great night even though I didn't get home until about midnight. Sorry Amanda...

20 years old

This is the comic I have been working on for the past few days. I sat and watched my zelda series on dvd while sketching it. The show is "ok" and very dated. But the nintendo sound effects alone are enough to make me watch the show.

Sirens Call

This is based on a true story, though its embelished a little bit. Don't get me wrong, that gum was TERRIBLE, but no one said "SWEET ZOMBIE JESUS" or anything like that. Though I was in such agony as of eating that gum I "could" have said it.

Prius's need gas too

I had a mostly uneventful weekend. Mostly....

Amanda woke up early to go to her part time job for the first time. I sat around and played some video games, took the dog for a walk, and got rid of our recycling (which was overflowing with beer bottles because of my brothers visit last week). Doug came over to escape scrapbooking at his place for awhile. He left about 5 when Amanda and I were getting ready to go to 5:30 mass so that I could see the church and meet the priest for the first time.

Now when we got in the car I noticed that the cat was on E. It had been on E for the past few days and every time I got in that car I told Amanda she should get some gas. She wasn't getting gas because every time she put gas in the car when it was on E she only put 9 gallons in the 12 gallon tank. Anyway, we start to go and we are about a block and a half from our apartment and I notice that when I put my foot on the gas the car isn't really responding. It still "goes" but not very fast. Apparently when a Prius runs out of gas, the electric battery will carry it a little farther, but not very fast. So as I am saying we are out of gas, the word "PROBLEM" flashes on Amanda's computer display.

So at the next available turn I turn around, or at least try too. I have to turn left on Nall and make the first turn on the next street I see so that we can head back to a gas station. Well, the car goes about 3 blocks before it can go no further. So I turn on the hazards get out and run to our apartment where my car is parked. I drive to the gas station and fill up the gas can I have in the trunk of my car. When I finally get to Amanda and start to pour the gas into her tank it starts to spill because the can just plain sucks. So I used my hand to keep the gas from spilling out too quickly. Amanda goes to get some gas and I go home to wash my hand that reeks of gasoline.

Needless to say we didn't go to church that night.

Great Time

Well, I had a grea time with my brothers this past week. Its not often that I get to see them so I tried to make the best of it and I think I did a pretty good job. Granted we played a lot of video games and watched a couple of movies and some tv, but we all had a good time.

The picture above is of Ryan and Andrew playing different video games on the split screen on my tv.

Amanda had a good time even though she wasn't awake for as much of it as the rest of us. On average we went to be about 3 am. Even Virginia stayed with us one night while she was in from St. Louis.

I think we all had a good time at Kristins place for new years. I am SO glad that I didn't have to work the next morning at Best Buy. Joe was kind enough to give me the day off. I was gratefull enough to give him a gift card for Old Chicago in return.

Andrew left by train at 3:30 on sunday the 1st. The rest of the day we were so lazy we just lay about watching tv and playing video games. Ryan and I stayed up to about 1:30 watching Arrested Development that I had tivo'd because he had not seen much of the new season. Of course his flight left at 7:30 so we woke up at 5:30 so that we could leave by 6. Amanda drove because I was too tired.

I had a great time, and I am looking forward to seeing them all again in the coming months.
