Amanda woke up early to go to her part time job for the first time. I sat around and played some video games, took the dog for a walk, and got rid of our recycling (which was overflowing with beer bottles because of my brothers visit last week). Doug came over to escape scrapbooking at his place for awhile. He left about 5 when Amanda and I were getting ready to go to 5:30 mass so that I could see the church and meet the priest for the first time.

Now when we got in the car I noticed that the cat was on E. It had been on E for the past few days and every time I got in that car I told Amanda she should get some gas. She wasn't getting gas because every time she put gas in the car when it was on E she only put 9 gallons in the 12 gallon tank. Anyway, we start to go and we are about a block and a half from our apartment and I notice that when I put my foot on the gas the car isn't really responding. It still "goes" but not very fast. Apparently when a Prius runs out of gas, the electric battery will carry it a little farther, but not very fast. So as I am saying we are out of gas, the word "PROBLEM" flashes on Amanda's computer display.
So at the next available turn I turn around, or at least try too. I have to turn left on Nall and make the first turn on the next street I see so that we can head back to a gas station. Well, the car goes about 3 blocks before it can go no further. So I turn on the hazards get out and run to our apartment where my car is parked. I drive to the gas station and fill up the gas can I have in the trunk of my car. When I finally get to Amanda and start to pour the gas into her tank it starts to spill because the can just plain sucks. So I used my hand to keep the gas from spilling out too quickly. Amanda goes to get some gas and I go home to wash my hand that reeks of gasoline.
Needless to say we didn't go to church that night.

My fuel gauge has been lying to me so it is not my fault. But Kevin was right for once...
I'm just curious... will your wedding be held in a church?
Hope you both have a great weekend :)
Originaly no, it was going to be in a garden. But because we didn't want to worry about weather it is going to be in a church.
Yes, Laura it will be
Good plan (about the weather and what not). Better not to have too many things that could potentially go wrong!
